Course Description: Whether you are thinking of raising children one day, working with children in the future, or want to know more about how children develop and operate, this course is for you!
Throughout the course you will learn about how parents, caregivers and guardians care for children to ensure optimal development and happiness. There will be particular emphasis on the meaning of family, building healthy relationships, and parenting styles/family structures from all around the world. In addition you will learn about maternal and paternal health, stages of pregnancy and birth, and early years human development. The last part of the courses focuses on the social, physical, emotional and cognitive development of young children by learning about effective communication and behaviour strategies.
