I enjoy hearing from you. No question or concern is too small, and there's no such thing as a "stupid question." Email is the best way to get in touch with me, or you can try by phone. Be sure to leave a message if I am not available. Communication in discussions and email must be respectful. Be cognizant of the fact that we don't have the opportunity to use facial expressions, gestures, and tone of voice when communicating through text only. Attending an online course is achieved by participating in the course, reading all of the materials, viewing the video lessons, contributing to discussions, asking questions, proposing answers, submitting assignments, and collaborating with your peers. You'll have many opportunities to participate in the coming weeks.
There is some group work in the course when you are expected to collaborate with classmates. It can be very helpful to work with classmates to practice and learn together. However, assignments, quizzes, and exams need to be completed on your own, to show your own individual work. Here is the official college policy. I’m happy to answer any questions.
Cheating is against PCC policy. Cheating includes any attempt to defraud, deceive, or mislead the instructor in arriving at an honest grade assessment, and may include copying answers from other students or using unauthorized notes during tests. Plagiarism is a particular form of cheating that involves presenting as one's own the ideas or work of another, and may include using other people's ideas without proper attribution and submitting another person's work as one's own. Violations of the cheating policy will result in a grade of '0' for the assignment in question, and may result in a failing grade for the course at the instructor's discretion. For further information review the institution's Academic Integrity Policy.
