(FEBRARY 27, 2026) Are you from Oregon? You are not alone. More than half of Oregonians say "no". Many people moved here from another place.
The Oregonian newspaper looked at the U.S. census. It says more than 600,000 people came to Oregon from California. About 200,000 people moved to Oregon from Washington. The census shows that Texas, New York, and Illinois were also high on the list.
What about other countries? Almost 500,000 Oregonians moved here from another country. 43% of immigrants came from Latin America. 33% of immigrants came from Asia. 15% came from Europe.
