Math teacher races to all 95 MAX train stops

(NOVEMBER 28, 2025) MAX is the name of the train in Portland. It means Metropolitan Area express. It has five lines. It has 95 stations.

Marty Valentine is a math teacher in Wilsonville. But he is famous for something else. He visited all 95 stations. He wanted to be the fastest. It was like a race. This kind of race is called a "transit speedrun".

Marty liked the race. He took trains and sometimes buses. It was like a puzzle. He also saw many new parts of the city.

Marty finished in a little more than six hours. He was the first person in Portland to record his time. However, he is no longer the fastest. Six other people did the same thing with faster times.

Marty says he wants to try again next summer.
