(NOVEMBER 14, 2025) Portland’s holiday tree is now at Pioneer Courthouse Square.
Stimson Lumber Company gives a big tree to the city every year.
This year’s tree is a Douglas fir. It came from a small town called Timber. A trucking company brought it on November 12, 2025.
The tree is very big. It is 75 feet tall and weighs more than 9,000 pounds. Twenty-one workers helped bring it to downtown Portland.
The tree needs more work. Some branches were taken off for the trip. Another truck brought the branches. Workers will put them back on. Later, the tree will get 9,500 colorful lights.
The city will turn on the lights on the day after Thanksgiving.
