(JULY 14, 2025) The weather is interesting this week. It is very hot in Portland, the Columbia River Gorge, and the Willamette Valley. For example:
Sunday: From 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., it is 93–97°F (34–36°C).
Tuesday and Wednesday: High temperatures are about 100°F (38°C) during the day. At night, it still stays above 65°F (18°C).
Later, the high temperatures are about 85°F. The low temperatures are about 60°F.
How can you stay safe in hot weather?
Drink water
Stay inside if you can
Stay out of the sun
Wear light clothes
Do not leave kids or pets in cars
Use fans
Open windows at night
Call 911 if someone feels very sick from the heat
Watch the news or weather online for updates
