TriMet stations get new security phones

(OCTOBER 24, 2024) TriMet has many buses and trains in Portland. Usually they are safe. Sometimes there is a problem.

Riders have a new way to get help. Riders can look for a red tower with a blue light. A phone will be there. 

The phone has a button. It calls TriMet security hotline. The phone also has a camera.

Rose Quarter and Convention Center stations have the phones now. Other stations along Interstate 84 will have the phones soon. In the future, TriMet wants all stations to have the phones.
