Runaway tortoise found two days later half mile from home

(AUGUST 7, 2024) A tortoise lives in Portland. His name is Bowser. He ran away from his Portland home last week. 

Police found him after two days. Bowser was walking on a path. Police saw him. They picked him up. They kept him safe.

Jasmine owns Bowser. She explained the problem. The gate was left open. 

Jasmine and her family searched for Bowser for two days. Bowser likes to eat blackberries and dandelions. So the family looked in yards and bushes. 

Police found the tortoise a half mile away. Now he is home with his family.
