Portland has a puppet museum

(JULY 17, 2024) Puppets are like toys. Often they look like people. Sometimes they look like animals. They can even look like things, such as trains, trees, or tables. You can move them with strings or by putting your hand inside.

You can see many kinds of puppets at the Portland Puppet Museum. The museum has hundreds of puppets. Some are old. Some are new. Some are made from unusual things. Right now, visitors can see many puppets from fairy tales, such as "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe."

Sometimes there are classes and shows, too. In July, the show is "No, No, No Pinocchio!". In August, there is a show for adults about Greek Legends of Zeus.

The museum is free. It is open all year. The museum is open 2pm-8pm from Thursday through Sunday.

The museum is at 906 SE Umatilla Street in Portland. For more information, visit puppetmuseum.com
