Innovative pet cancer vaccine now available at DoveLewis

According to DoveLewis, the Torigen Autologous Cancer Vaccine not only fights cancer but does so in a way that's uniquely tailored to the individual pet. The process uses the pet's own tumor cells. They are shipped to the Torigen lab, and the lab prepares a personalized vaccine from the pet's tumor. The vaccine is sent back to DoveLewis, and a veterinarian gives the vaccine by injection once a week for three weeks. This helps the pet's own immune system to fight the cancer more effectively. Torigen's website says, "Because the vaccine is made directly from cancer cells, this treatment can be used for multiple cancer types in dogs, cats, and horses."
