Eugene organization replaces homes burned by wildfires

(JULY 10, 2024)  Oregon summers are dry. Sometimes there are wildfires. The fires burn forests. The fires also burn houses. People lose their homes.

An organization in Eugene has an idea. They build mobile homes. Mobile homes have wheels. Mobile homes can move.

For example, the organization moved the first mobile home to Talent. A fire in 2020 burned houses there. Now one family has a place to live.

The mobile homes do not cost much money. They do not use much energy. They do not burn easily.

The organization gives hope to people with little money. It also teaches students about building homes.
