Romeo is the tallest living steer in the world

(MAY 30, 2024)  Romeo is a steer. A steer is one kind of cattle. He is six years old, and he is famous.

He was born on a dairy farm. A dairy farm sells milk from cows. But Romeo is not a cow (female). He is a steer (male). So the farm didn't want him. They wanted to sell Romeo for meat.

Now he lives at an animal sanctuary in Creswell. A sanctuary is a safe place for animals. They won't be food.

Recently Romeo received an award. Guinness World Records says he is the tallest living steer in the world. He is 6 feet 4.5 inches tall.

Romeo has a white stripe on his back. It looks like the number 1. So now he has a good nickname: "Number One."
