A fun corn maze has a serious message

(SEPTEMBER 22, 2023) Bella Organic Farm is on Sauvie Island near Portland. It has a corn maze every year. A corn maze like a big puzzle. Visitors walk paths through corn plants to find their way out.

This year the paths spell a special message. It says "No more silence. End gun violence." The farm wants the community to solve this problem together. They say it's OK for people to own guns.  They just want to stop people who break the law and use guns to hurt others.

Bella Organic Farm also gives money to help. Last year, the farm gave money to a suicide prevention group. This year, they're deciding which group to give money to for stopping gun violence.

The corn maze is open every day from September 2 to October 31. It opens at 9 a.m. and closes at different times. It costs $10 for visitors six years and older. On Friday and Saturday nights, it's a little more expensive.
