People in Oregon are very introverted, study says

(APRIL 21, 2023) A website called Solitaire Bliss thinks it knows something about Oregonians. It conducted research. The results suggest that people from Oregon like spending time alone.

The website studied data from the American Time Use Survey to see what people like to do by themselves or with others in every state. The data come from the U.S. Census Bureau. Oregon came in seventh place on the list of "most introverted" states. (According to Cambridge Learner's Dictionary, an "introvert" is someone who is quiet and shy and prefers to be alone.)

The study found that Oregonians really like reading alone and doing entertainment activities alone. They ranked third and fourth in these activities, respectively. This means that people from Oregon are confident and know what they like to do. They don't need to be with others to enjoy activities like going to the movies or eating at a restaurant.

The study didn't answer all the questions. For example, are there states where people like to read together? Overall, however, the study suggests that people from Oregon like their alone time and are comfortable with themselves.
