Six people with masks damage a coffee shop to protest "Coffee with a Cop" event

(OCTOBER 7, 2022) Bison Coffeehouse is a coffee shop in Portland. Loretta Guzman is the owner. She wanted to have a special event. She called it "Coffee with a Cop."

Loretta invited police officers to come to the coffee shop. She wanted them to talk to people from the community. She thought the police officers could answer questions.

Loretta shared the event on social media. People wrote angry messages. Later, six people in masks went to the coffee shop at 3:00AM. They brought hammers and crowbars.

They broke the windows. They also sprayed a fire extinguisher. The attack was quick, but there was a lot of damage. It will be expensive to fix.
