Gas prices in Oregon drop

(AUGUST 12, 2022) Gas is expensive. Only four other states have higher gas prices. They are California, Hawaii, Nevada, and Alaska.

But now the price of gas is a little cheaper.

The average gas price in Oregon dropped this week. The average price for gas in Oregon was $5.05 per gallon last week. Now the average price for gas in Oregon is $4.91 per gallon. The highest average price in Oregon was $5.55 in the middle of June.

The national average price also dropped. The national average gas price was $4.18 last week. This week, the national average gas price is $4.03. The highest average price in the country was $5.02 in June.

Why? The high prices mean fewer people are driving now. Also, the price of oil has dropped.
