West Coast Electric Highway is getting bigger and better

(JUNE 3, 2022) More people are driving electric cars in Oregon. But sometimes they cannot drive far. They need to charge the battery. That can be a problem for travelers. The West Coast Electric Highway solves that problem.

The West Coast Electric Highway is a network of charging stations. They are like gas stations for electric cars. There are 44 stations in Oregon. They are only 25 to 50 miles apart on big highways. The stations charge different kinds of electric cars. Many have fast-charging options. They can charge electric bikes, too.

The West Coast Electric Highway runs from California to British Columbia. More stations are coming in the summer. Here is a link to a map.
