Portland Pickles' mascot was lost, but now he's home again

(FEBRUARY 18, 2022) The Portland Pickles is a baseball team in Southeast Portland.

The team has a mascot. The mascot looks like a giant pickle man. Its name is Dillon.

But the mascot's costume was lost recently.

The team was playing baseball in the Dominican Republic. Then they traveled home to Portland. The airline lost the bag with the costume.

Later the airline found the bag. The airline brought the bag to the team's office. They left the bag outside on a porch.

Someone stole the bag. A camera recorded a man taking the bag from the porch. Many businesses offered rewards for the costume's return.

Finally someone found the costume on a bus. That person brought the costume to VooDoo Doughnut in downtown Portland. The store called the team.

Now the mascot is home again. Dillon is ready to cheer for his team. Games begin May 31 at Walker Stadium in Southeast Portland.
