(MAY 24, 2021) The city of Portland was in the news last week. City leaders sent a message. The city will remove more homeless camps.
The city says the camps are dangerous. There were fewer camps before the coronavirus. Now there are many.
The camps are larger, too. There are public health and safety risks. For example, there is more trash.
The city will begin to remove camps this week.
