(FEBRUARY 15, 2021) Some COVID-19 rules changed last week. The new rules are for several counties, including Portland. The new rules are for restaurants, gyms, pools, theaters, and museums. These places can have up to 50 people inside or 25% of indoor seats, whichever is lower. They can have more people outside, too.
Some rules do not change:
People must still wear masks.
They must wash hands.
They must continue social distancing.
No more than six people at a table from two households
Restaurants must close by 11 p.m.
Most business people are happy. However, they worry, too. They do not want the rules to change again soon. So some restaurants will wait. They will continue only take-out.
