More Oregon students finish high school in four years

(JANUARY 25, 2021) Studying online is difficult. Some students do not do well. But there is good news. More students in Oregon finished high school in four years.

The state says 83% of students in Oregon finished high school in four years. Also, 76% of Black students finished high school in four years. 80% of Latino students also finished in four years. 60% of students with disabilities did the same. All of these numbers have grown in the past few years.

Also, the dropout rate is the lowest: 2.38%.

But why? Why are the numbers better this year? Some people say schools are better. Others say that grades are easier because schools expect less during the pandemic.
