Will we have snow this winter?

Blue = snow storm. Orange = rain, snow, or sleet.

(OCTOBER 25, 2020) Will we have snow this winter? People often ask that question. It depends. Where do you live?

Do you live on top of Mt. Hood? Then it can snow all year long! And you usually get 45 feet of snow each year. That's 540 inches!

Do you live in Portland? Then it does not snow often. Portland gets a lot of rain. However, Portland gets only about 2 to 3 inches of snow. And sometimes the snow is only in the hills.

Look for snow in Portland in December, say some people. That is their prediction. They predict a snow storm around Christmas.
