People in Multnomah County vote on a new tax for the library

(OCTOBER 18, 2020) November 3 is Election Day.

Voters make many choices.

People in Multnomah County vote about the library.

The library wants money.

  • It wants to enlarge (make bigger) eight libraries.

  • It wants to modernize (add technology) eight libraries.

  • It wants to build a new library in East County.

  • It wants to add fast internet to all libraries.

This is a new tax.

If voters say "yes," then homeowners pay around $200-$400 per year.

If voters say "no," then there is no new tax.
