Oregon man falls into ocean and dies

(OCTOBER 3, 2020) A man died on the Oregon Coast September 27. His name was Steven Gastelum. He was 43 years old. He was from Seaside.

Gastelum hiked a trail in Oswald West State Park. He was near Devil's Cauldron. He wanted a picture.

So Gastelum climbed a tree near a cliff. The tree broke. The man fell about 100 feet into the ocean.

Emergency workers found him. The workers tried to save the man. They took him to a hospital, but Gastelum did not live.
