Now Oregonians must wear masks outdoors, too

(JULY 17, 2020) Oregon has new rules. The rules are about face masks and groups of people.

People must wear masks at indoor public places. These places include grocery stores, gyms, and pharmacies. Now people must also wear masks outdoors. They wear masks if they are near other people.

Another new rule is about social gatherings. Parties and events spread the coronavirus. This new rule allows groups of 10 or less. However, businesses and churches do not need to follow this rule.

Oregon does not require masks for young children.

Both rules started July 15. The rules help slow the coronavirus. This also slows COVID-19 disease.
