Multnomah County enters Phase 1 of re-opening
(JUNE 19, 2020) Multnomah County is opening today. Many things closed in March because of coronavirus. Now Multnomah County enters Phase 1. (A "phase" is a part of a process.)
People can eat at restaurants. Hair salons can open. Gyms can open. People can meet in groups of up to 25 people.
However, there is an important rule. This rule begins June 24. It is for seven counties. The rule says everyone must wear a mask in public. For example, people must wear a mask in grocery stores and pharmacies.
