Concordia University closes

(FEBRUARY 15, 2020) Concordia University is a private college in Portland. It is part of the Lutheran Church.

The university began in 1905. It will close in spring 2020.

The college cannot continue. It does not have enough money. The Lutheran Church will not help anymore.

Many people are surprised. Some are angry.

The end of the college affects about 5,000 students. It also affects about 1,500 workers.
