West Linn has a Doggie School Bus

(APRIL 19, 2019) A school bus for dogs? That's right. In West Linn, you might see the Doggie School Bus. It's a bright yellow van, and it is often full of dogs.

Are they going to school? Not really. Instead, Arat Montoya is taking them to a big field in the country. The dogs can run and play for two hours. They get exercise, and they can learn how to get along with other dogs.

The service costs $30 a day. Montoya will pick up and your dog and return it to you if you live within five miles. He usually has 20-30 dogs each day. And they are all kinds of dogs, he says.

Montoya is from Mexico. He moved to Canby, Oregon when he was a teenager. His family are bakers. They wanted him to be a baker, too. He said, "I'm sorry, Dad. I love dogs."

He loves his job. He says, "I'm the happiest man in the world."
