Who can vote in Oregon?

(MARCH 15, 2019) Who can vote? That is a question for Oregon.

In the past, a person must be 21 years old. That changed in 1971. Now it is 18 years old.

Some people in the government want to change that. They think 16 years old is enough. Young adults can drive. They pay taxes. They should vote, too.

The government cannot change the law alone. Citizens must agree. So the government might ask citizens to decide in the election of 2020.

13 other states have tried to lower the voting age. They all failed.
