(DECEMBER 19, 2018) Do you like beer? Then Oregon is a good place to be. Portland was named the best place for beer in the United States.
A company called Smart Asset studied information about different cities in the country. It asked several questions. The questions were:
- How many breweries are there? (A brewery makes beer.)
- How many beers does each brewery make?
- How many bars are there? (A bar sells beer.)
- How much does beer cost?
Last year, Portland was #7 on the list. This year it is #1. The city has 67 breweries.
Other Oregon cities are on the list, too. Bend is #5. It has 22 breweries. Eugene is #15.
