ENTRANCE - Use Door 1 (Main Entrance) or Door 4 to enter the building.
EAGLES' NEST - Use only the designated doors in Hallway 400 to enter Eagles' Nest. Follow the signs. Do not enter any other gym doors. The Small Gym is closed, during the event.
PARKING - Standard parking in the school's lot and at the Renfrew Drive curb (northbound lane only; next to the school building) is available. Please do not park in the dedicated ELC parking spaces until after 6 p.m.
SHOES - Please avoid walking on the gym floors wearing outdoor shoes that may be wet or dirty. Bring clean, dry indoor shoes to change into, if needed.
COSTUME GUIDELINES - Costumes can make the event more fun for all and allow us to express our creativity, if we stick with family-friendly themes. Keep the following in mind, when choosing your costume attire. It should:
be modest, following the student uniform policy guidelines
not be scary or offensive
not include props that may be cumbersome for movement or cause injury/accidents
REFRESHMENTS - Any food or drinks must be consumed only in the cafeteria, unless you have a spill-proof, refillable bottle of water.
WASHROOMS - Adults must only use the staff washrooms as restrooms and changing facilities. Student washrooms and change rooms are intended for children only.
RESTRICTED AREAS – Unless a classroom is listed for a scheduled activity, no one should be entering these rooms or using school equipment without permission. The access to the upper running track area and the Early Learning Centre is out of bounds, during this event. For safety reasons, children should not be playing “hide-in-seek” in the school, running in hallways or playing with water in the washrooms or at the drinking fountains. In general, any rules that apply to students during school hours, will still apply anytime they are on school property.
HEALTH - To keep the school community safe and healthy, if anyone is exhibiting any indication of illness (coughing, sneezing, cold, flu, covid-19 etc), please stay home. There will be other opportunities for participation at PCA community events.
FAMILY-SCHOOL COVENANT - Let's remember that families within the PCA community have agreed to partner with the school in developing Christian character traits in the lives of our children. Our behaviour and interactions with each other at all school events should reflect these traits. Please remind students to continue to exhibit good sportsmanship, when cheering for teams during spectator games. Insulting opposing team players is not acceptable.
CHILD SUPERVISION - Parents or designated adults are expected to stay on-site and monitor any young children they bring to the event.
