Your programme timetable is accessible online via the ‘My Timetable’ link at the top of the page on the Student Portal. Any essential changes to the timetables during the academic year are reflected online, so please check regularly for the most up to date information. Remember that paper and digital copies of your timetable may not be up to date.
Please note you will only see a timetable for the programme you are currently enrolled on. If, after logging in, you are unable to see a timetable or you are seeing the incorrect timetable, please email Curriculum Operations at programmesupport@pca.ac.uk.
The College issues online registers for every timetabled session. The data is then made available to staff involved with supporting your studentship to help assess your progress. Evidence shows that students with higher attendance / engagement often achieve better degree classifications and outcomes. All staff are committed to providing a supportive learning environment that enables students to achieve their full potential. As a responsible higher education provider we have a duty to monitor attendance, engagement and act on non-attendance so that students can be supported to complete their programme.
You should attend all lectures, seminars, workshops, studio sessions and other activities timetabled, on campus or online, as part of your studies, and you will be expected to start on time!
The HE Student Attendance & Engagement Policy explains why this is necessary, along with the process and penalties that may be applied if your engagement on the programme falls below expectations. If for any reason, you are unable to attend because of illness or other unforeseen circumstances, you must notify your programme team (lecturer/tutor) in advance (by email or phone) and should inform the College by using the Absence Line (see below). You should make arrangements to catch up on any work missed during absence and holidays should not be booked during term-time. If you drop below a level of attendance outlined in the Attendance Policy a review will be made. While evidence of personal and unavoidable circumstances such as sickness and bereavement will be taken into account it should be noted that poor attendance may also affect any potential bursary payments.
Full details of attendance are included in the HE Student Attendance & Engagement Policy.
If absence is necessary, you will need to let us know in advance with as much notice as possible using the links below. Go to www.plymouthart.ac.uk/absence for more information - this link is also printed on the back of all new (2019 onwards) student ID cards:
If you are a registered Plymouth College of Art student, please click here and select the Report absence (student) button at the top of the page.
You can view your attendance record at any time via ‘My Data’ or alternatively via the MyTimetable site. If you have any queries about your recorded attendance please discuss with your tutor.
