We need to keep certain information about you to allow us to monitor, for example, performance, achievements and health and safety. It is also necessary for us to process information so that programmes can be organised and legal obligations to funding bodies and government complied with. To comply with the law, such information is collected and used fairly, stored safely and not disclosed to any other person unlawfully. To do this we ensure we comply with the Data Protection principles which are set out in the UK General Data Protection Regulations (incorporated into Data Protection Act 2018).

For example every year we send some of the information we hold about you to HESA (Higher Education Statistics Agency) for statistical research. HESA is the official source of data about UK universities, higher education colleges, alternative HE providers. HESA is a registered charity and operates on a not-for-profit basis.
