PCS is Celebrating its 20th Anniversary!

We are eagerly anticipating a series of celebrations to showcase our students’ talents, spotlight alumni accomplishments, acknowledge major milestones, announce future ambitions, and honor the life and legacy of our school’s namesake: Captain Paul Cuffee.

20th Anniversary events will begin with a video celebration on January 17, 2022 – which is also Paul Cuffee’s birthday (1759-1817), and continue throughout the spring of 2022 to create a lasting and memorable impact.

Will You Help Light the Way to a Brighter Future for Paul Cuffee Students?

We would love to have your contribution to any one or more of these 20th Anniversary goals!

As a maritime-themed school named for one of the most successful merchant mariners in our country's history, we thought it appropriate that our anniversary fundraising goals range from top ranking leadership positions to our all-hands-on-deck contributors.

Donations of all sizes are needed. For more details about how your special gift will benefit Paul Cuffee students, please click on the arrow below each giving opportunity.

You can make sure that every student’s voice can be heard and that their talents are showcased for virtual celebrations, performances, and special events. Whether they have a speaking role, or are part of a chorus, instrumental music, or dance ensemble, your contribution will offer Paul Cuffee students in each building the opportunity to perform with pride and be heard in the back row!

Summer programs like the ones offered by Save the Bay, Pat’s Pastured Farm Camp, Providence Community Boating Center, Narragansett Boat Club, and Camp Ramsbottom provide students with the perfect combination of education, responsibility, and fun when school is not in session. Donations to the Paul Cuffee School Summer Scholarship Fund will not only increase access to recreational programs that help children learn and grow, your generosity will create memories and friendships that may last a lifetime.

Organized sports and regular physical activity can play an important role in the health and well-being of our students as they advance through the grades. Your donation or team sponsorship will provide Paul Cuffee boys and girls with the coaching, uniforms, and transportation they need to become proud members of our soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball, and cross country teams.

Inspiring our students’ creativity and broadening their horizons is a labor of love that our teachers take seriously. Your donations to the Paul Cuffee Fund for K-12 Enrichment will support the cost of new books and resources, field trips, and special guest visitors to share their cultural heritage and talents with students in each building.

Urban youth can learn a great deal about nutrition and nature from growing their own food and flowers on campus. Your gift will not only fund the supervision, equipment and supplies for planting and maintaining raised bed gardens at each building, it will teach our students how to take care of the landscape at home and at school.

If there is anything we have learned in the past twenty years, if not the past twenty months, it is the importance of “taking care of ourselves, taking care of each other, and taking care of our school community.” Being able to fund a worthy project and celebrate the accomplishments of our students, faculty and staff would be a wonderful morale booster during these challenging times.
