About Me

My name is Alyssa Osani and I am 31-year-old Port Allegany Alumni!

I graduated from Port Allegany High School in 2010 after attending school in the district for my whole learning career.  I continued to further my education at Clarion University (now PennWest University) where I graduated with my Bachelor's in Library Science PreK-12 in 2014.  That following fall I was hired as the elementary librarian at George. G. Blaisdell Elementary School and I have worked there for nine years.

During my time in the Bradford Area School District, I worked hard to bring students who came to the library a vast array of literature to enjoy and comprehend.  I greatly enjoy reading books to students and getting them to think about the text as well as simply listening for the joy of the story.  I also enjoyed guiding the students as we experiment with different technology tools together from various applications and websites to robots teaching us basic algorithms.

I also have worked as a volleyball coach, both Jr. High and Junior Varsity. Among my colleagues, I have been a Lead Teacher and aided them in managing their curriculums as well as guiding the team through new learning opportunities.  Lastly, I worked as a digital innovator for two years to help staff and students learn to use various online tools to enhance their learning.

I look forward to a great new school year back home!
