Class overview
In this class, we will be singing in different styles, learning the fundamentals of music, and strengthening our sight-reading skills. Our choirs have received sweepstakes for many years in a row and continue to strive for excellence. We look forward to a great year with many fun events!!

Brian Kosior
Head Director
Mr. Kosior is the proud director of the Queens Intermediate Choir program, where he is currently in his 18th year of music education, with the past 12 years being at Queens. Mr. Kosior received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Frostburg State University in Frostburg, Maryland, followed by his Master's of Music degree from the University of Houston here in Houston, Texas. Under his direction, the choir program at Queens has earned top awards at contest, entered multiple students in the Region Choir, and has had many top rated students at the Solo and Ensemble Contest each year. He enjoys teaching his students every day and challenging them to achieve their goals. When Mr. Kosior is not busy with after school rehearsals or singing in church choir, he enjoys his other passion, which is flying. He is a private pilot and spends a great deal of his free time helping with the Commemorative Air Force or the Wings Over Houston Airshow.

Jessica Rangel
Assistant Director
Ms. Rangel is starting her 12th year of teaching. She taught elementary for 3 years and has now been at Queens Intermediate for 8 years. She attended San Jacinto College for two years and then transferred to Stephen F. Austin University to obtain her Bachelor's degree in Music Education. She has a daughter and a son whom she loves very much and enjoys watching them grow. Ms. Rangel is a proud Pasadena ISD graduate from South Houston High School. She has performed in Germany, Austria, and Czech republic with the Houston Symphony Chorus. Ms. Rangel is also a Houston Rodeo volunteer and scholar and is a part of the membership committee.
