Event: PDSSSC Athletics Carnival

Date: Friday 25th August

Location: Blacktown International Sports Park

Transport: Families are to arrange their own transport to and from the venue

Uniform: Full Sports Uniform, dark running shorts are permitted for events. Students will be provided a Santa Sophia singlet to compete in on the day. Student must return the singlet to the font office at the beginning of the following week. 

Other Requirements: 

Students are required to meet the Hills Zone Team manager on the day and be seated in the Hills Zone area. Santa Sophia staff will not be in attendance at this event.

PDCPSSC Hills Zone Athletics Championships

Event: PDSSSC Hills Zone Athletics Carnival

Date: Friday 18th August

Location: Blacktown International Sports Park

Transport: Families are to arrange their own transport to and from the venue

Uniform: Full Sports Uniform, dark running shorts are permitted for events. Students will be provided a Santa Sophia singlet to compete in on the day. This must be returned to the team manager at the end of the day. 

Other Requirement: 

Students are required to meet the Santa Sophia team manager on site. A Santa Sophia banner will be displayed in the stands.

Hills Zone Athletics Carnival Event Timeline

Year 2-6 School Athletics Carnival

Event: 2023 Santa Sophia Athletics Carnival (Year 2-6) 

Date: Wednesday 31st May

Location: Peel Reserve, The Ponds

Departure: Bus at 8:15am from the college (there will be no early drop only for students competing in the 800m event)

Return: Bus at 2:00pm (Early pick up at the venue is permitted at the conclusion of the final events 1:30pm (approx). Please complete the Compass Permission Question form to indicate how your child will be returning after the carnival)

Uniform: Full Sports uniform or sport attire in predominantly house colours

Other Requirements: Students are required to bring their own food, drink, hat and sunscreen for the day. Students are also encouraged to bring a towel or blanket to sit on. Students in Year 2 who are born in 2016 are ineligible to compete in this event.

Events: 100m, 200m, Shot Put, Long Jump, House Relays, House Events (100m finals will be held if time permits otherwise qualification will be based on heat times)

Additional Events: 800m Events will be held on Wednesday 31st May at Peel Reserve at 7:45am. Please complete the 2023 PDSSSC/PDCPSSC Athletics Nomination Form by Friday  26th May. Discus will be held on Thursday 1st June at the school for registered competitors. 

Parent/Spectator Access: Parents and spectators are not permitted onto the main oval however are permitted to move around the outside of the oval on the footpath.

Date: Monday 11th September

Location: Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre

Transport: Students are to make thee own way to and from the venue

Registration: Students must be Registered through the CSNSW Website

Date: Monday 28th August

Location: Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre

Permission: Please submit permission through the Compass portal under events. 

Transport: Families are to arrange their own transport to and from the venue

Event: 2023 Santa Sophia Athletics Carnival (Year 7-12)

Date: Friday 2nd June

Location: Peel Reserve, The Ponds

Permission: Please submit permission through the Compass portal under events.

• 1500m walk (Age Group)

• Triple Jump (12-15yrs & 16yrs+)
