So you're ready to take the next step in your career? A traineeship offers a fantastic opportunity for you to engage in a combination of paid work and study to get qualified and experienced within your chosen industry!
You must have completed year 10
You must be willing to commit to your traineeship for the duration (work and study)
You must have a good work ethic
If you are under 18 years, talk to a parent or caregiver. They will need to agree before you can start a traineeship
Talk to your school careers teacher about becoming a Trainee- you will need to organise this well before the end of year 10. Don't forget that you need to give the school 1 term's formal notice to avoid school fees and penalties -this means your training contract MUST be signed by the end of Term 3 in year 10!
Choose a traineeship that is approved in your state. You can find this information in the Job and Training Description Search
