If you are younger than 17, you can only leave school if you engage in full time study or full time employment (or a combination of the two e.g an apprenticeship or traineeship)
TAFE offers an alternative pathway to complete a year 12 equivalent called a Certificate 4 in Tertiary Preparation. This course is fully subsidised and nationally recognised. You are eligible to enrol if you have a Certificate 2 or above. It runs for 36 weeks for approximately 16 hours per week.
