Travis Bates

Travis earned three varsity letters in track and two letters in football. He took 9th place in the discus at the State Track Meet his junior year. Travis also placed 12th in the discus at the State Track Meet his senior season. 

He was the MAC champion in the discus his junior & season seasons. Travis also was the MAC champion in the shot put his senior season. He also earned Honorable Mention MAC in football his senior season. Travis earned four varsity letters in track at Huntington University. He was named the team MVP in 1989 & 1990. He was a four time MCC All Conference honoree. Travis broke the NAIA District 21 record in the discus in 1990. 

He was the discus champion at the International Meet On Day of Pentecost, held in Bolzano, Italy in 1990. In 2010, Travis was inducted into the Huntington University Hall of Fame.
