The book “The Final Gambit” by Jennifer Lynn Barnes is the final book of “The Inheritance Games” trilogy. It is a fiction novel about a teenage girl named Avery who is trying to help a girl named Eve save her dad, Toby, who Avery knows well, from being kidnapped by an anonymus figure. They are also trying to solve Tobias Hawthorne’s puzzles that are left for Avery for once Eve arrives, while trying to prove Eve trustworthy. One of the best parts in this book is when Avery gets in the pool to solve a puzzle and solves it by playing P-Q4, P-Q4, P-QB4, or the Queen’s Gambit, an opening sequence in chess; on the pool tiles. People who would like this series are people who enjoy reading mysteries, romance readers, people who like puzzles, and people who like unassuming plot twists.
