Where will I find feedback on assignments?

There are several places that teachers might leave feedback for you on an assignment. You may not always receive a notification and will need to go back to the assignment to see notes they have left for you. Below are different ways you might see feedback from your teacher.

Feedback associated with the grade:

Feedback associated with the points earned will be accessible in the assignment but can also be seen in the grades section of your Schoology environment.

  • You can look at comments made as part of your grade by hovering over the speech bubble next to the grade in the submission area of the assignment.

  • You can also see that comment by going to the Grades section of your Schoology environment.

  1. Click Grades

  2. Select Grade Report

  3. Select a class

  4. You may need to use the arrows on the left to expand grading periods and categories

  5. If there is a comment made with the grade, it will show to the right of the grade

Feedback left within the assignment:

When you access an assignment you have previously turned in, you may find that your teacher has left you feedback to help with revisions before you resubmit the assignment.

  • There may be comments in the Submission Activity area to the right of your submission. You wll receive a notification for comments left in this area.

  • Your teacher may have also left annotations on your submission. You will not receive a notification for these notes and will need to check your submission for feedback before revising your work. Teachers can highlight, strike through, draw, and add notes to your submission.
