The Grade 8 Camp will take place from Monday, 26 January 2026 to Wednesday, 28 January 2026 at Disakloof Camping Site - Betty's Bay. The following information applies:

Service Provider: Venture Forth
Camp Leader: Mr Chris Dicks
Departure from College Monday, 26 January 2026:
Learners must be at the College at 05:45.
Departure from College at 06:30
Arrival at Campsite: 10:00
Return from Campsite: Wednesday, 28 January 2026:
Departure from Campsite: 10:00.
Arrival back at the College: 12:00
Venue Information:
Cost: All camp and transport costs covered by the College. Learners need to bring money for snacks/stops on bus rides to and from Betty's Bay.

For our camps we require two indemnity/waiver forms, one from the service provider and one from the College. This is because each organisation has its own area of responsibility.
Service provider’s form: This covers the activities, equipment and staff supplied by the external camp operator (e.g. Venture Forth). It protects them from liability for risks directly related to their services.
College’s form: This covers the College’s own responsibilities, such as transport, supervision, and decisions made by school staff. It protects the College and clarifies the parent/guardian’s consent for the learner to participate.
Having both forms ensures that all parties, the service provider, the College, and the participant understand and agree to the risks, responsibilities and emergency procedures involved.
Although the date indicated on the Venture Forth form is 27 October, the College is required to compile the relevant data for Venture Forth in advance. We therefore kindly request that the following indemnity forms be completed and submitted by Monday, 20 October.

This form collects all the necessary information for participation in the Parklands College Grade 8 Camp. The details you provide will assist Venture Forth with logistics, ensure smooth administration, and support effective management in the event of an emergency.
