Here are the details for 2020:

Friday 6 & Saturday 7 March 2020

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

1. Instrumental Musicians of Grade 4 and above level and all singers interested in being apart of a choir may register.

2. Entry Forms to be submitted by Friday 7 February 2020 to apetro@parklands.co.za

3. A fee of R120 per student will be required and payable by 7 February 202- to Parklands College. Each school is requested to make one combined payment and send the POP to apetro@parklands.co.za

4. One teacher per school to please accompany students and assist with registration. Friday 6 March (14:30-15:00) and Saturday 7 March (08:30-09:00) and are welcome to play along in rehearsals and the concert.

Logistics

1. Dress: Full school uniform. Learners may arrive in civvies and get changed before the concert.

2. Music stand: Each musician should please bring a collapsible music stand along. Please ensure that the stand is clearly marked. This will be for rehearsal purposes.

3. Sheet music: Please print your parts at home if possible. We will be able to print any additional parts on the day, as needed.

4. Flip files: Please could musicians arrive with their music in a flip file. Please insert black paper in the front and back pockets.

5. Pencils: Each musician should bring a pencil to the rehearsal to correct any bowing or articulation as needed.

6. Snack and drink: Our tuck shop will be open throughout the course of the day. However, we recommend all musicians to bring a water bottle and extra snacks. A light packed lunch will be provided on the Saturday and small snack on the Friday.

7. Tickets: Tickets can be purchased at the door at R70 per ticket. Each performer receives one complimentary ticket. The person who will be claiming the ticket should please state the name of the child as they arrive at the door and we will ensure the ticket gets issued accordingly. Any additional tickets will have to be paid for.

8. Accompanying adults: Our restaurant will be open to provide tea, coffee, juice and snacks for the teachers throughout the course of the day. Please confirm the number of accompanying teachers from your school. We would like to make them feel welcome.
