Team to Keep Our Grounds Beautiful
We invite you to join our new grounds team, where you can do a little or a lot to help care for our beautiful corner on Pine and Parker Rd.
You can sign up to help keep one section of our grounds or parking islands beautiful by pulling or spraying weeds, by mowing, or using a weed trimmer. We have a signup sheet in the Commons Area where you can sign up for one (or more!) of the 48 identified areas. Do a little weeding before after church or a meeting or little more by coming a few times a month.
The church has 2 riding mowers, a push mower, weed trimmers and a large weed sprayer to use.
Contact Ron Wyckoff or Doug McKinney for more details or sign up in the Commons Area.
Thanks for keeping our church grounds beautiful this year!
Eden Gardeners Plant Sale
Stop in and shop (donation only) in the church and/or bring your plants to share on Sunday, May 5.
If your perennials need thinning, or if you have seedlings to share, bring them and any other plants to the narthex (outside of the sanctuary doors) by 8:45 a.m. that day to sell between the two worship services.
We will have tables marked with categories for you to place them: herbs, annuals, perennials, houseplants, veggies, etc. [Please label your plants as best you can so shoppers know what they are!] Also welcome are seed packets, pots, tools, books, anything garden related that you wish to donate.
This is our annual fundraiser to pay for outdoor improvements for the church grounds or for speakers for gardening classes. Last year we were able to replace the rocks at the west entrance with pavers, and this year we want to purchase two picnic tables to put there.
So come and shop! All are welcome to join the Eden Gardeners group. For more info, email Diana Hill.
This Sunday's Service
Please join us this Sunday as we continue our new sermon series, Being United Methodist Christians. This Sunday's message is "What Do We Share with Other Christians?" The scripture reading is Isaiah 55:9-11 and 2 Timothy 3:16-17.
