Health and Safety Protocols:
Overview
On September 1, 2021, the New Jersey Department of Education and New Jersey Department of Health updated their health and safety guidelines for the 2021-2022 school year ("The Road Forward: Health and Safety Guidance for the 2021-2022 School Year"). Both the published guidelines and related statements/Executive Orders from Governor Murphy are clear in their message that, while all schools are expected to reopen for full-time in-person learning in September, the specific manner in which schools approach that reopening is dependent upon the unique needs, characteristics, and local health data within each individual community.
As has been the case throughout this pandemic, the Paramus Public Schools are focused on ensuring the greatest degree of learning quality balanced with appropriate and responsible implementation of layered health and safety protocols.
