Being part of extracurricular activities is an important aspect of middle school, and offers you opportunities to make new friends, work with our awesome faculty, and get involved in our school community.

Below are some of the clubs that we offer at East Brook.
Each club advisor has provided information about their club. Please watch the videos, and read the descriptions, and if you are interested, contact the teacher in charge. Email addresses are linked to the teacher's name under the club name.

If you are planning to attend a club on the day the club meets, please make sure that you have plans as to how you will get home after the club ends. For all students eligible for busing, there is a 3:30 late bus available. For parents picking up their child, please be prompt.

The Art Club is open to all students interested in discovering and experimenting with diverse art supplies in an enjoyable and tranquil environment. Being part of the art club offers students the chance to participate in activities that extend beyond typical classroom experiences. Members of the art club can explore both personal and school-related art projects.

Brain Busters

Brain Buster welcomes all interested middle school students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. Bergen Brain Busters offers our middle school students a chance to engage in a demanding academic competition where they can apply their academic prowess and critical thinking abilities to answer questions spanning the entire middle school curriculum.

Each middle school in Bergen County can field two teams, which then compete in a series of playoff rounds. The teams with the highest scores during the playoffs earn the opportunity to advance to the semi-final and final rounds. Similar to other clubs, Bergen Brain Busters necessitates dedication and commitment, both in terms of preparation and competition.

Participants will immerse themselves in project-based learning that integrates science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Through their elected representatives, students have the opportunity to express their opinions during regular meetings held throughout the year. The Student Council also takes the lead in organizing a wide range of school-wide activities, including asset-building initiatives, service-learning projects, and fundraising events.
