WORD! THE FRONT LINE - OTAUTAHI 2023
'WORD - The Front Line' is an inter-high school Spoken Word poetry competition, bringing together teams of young people from across Auckland, New Zealand.
This year Action Education brought the competition to Otautahi for the first time ever at the Piano in the CBD. Papanui High School students were fortunate enough to be trained by Nakoda Tamaira and Dietrich Soakai.
Brooke Nuualiitia, Angie Vaea, Cialla Loto, Ocean Nasmith, Nysha Tavui and Billy Llewelyn Thomas represented our school proudly reciting poetry that they wrote themselves. It was an amazing night seeing our students thrive in creative spaces and we will be back in 2024 bigger and better than ever!
