The Young Enterprise Scheme (YES) is a hands-on business programme where students learn by creating and running their own real company. Throughout the year, students develop skills in innovation, business planning, market research, financial management, marketing, teamwork, and leadership. They learn how to generate and test business ideas, create a product or service, manage budgets and cashflow, promote their brand, and reflect on their performance. The programme builds confidence, problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and resilience, while helping students understand how real businesses operate in the New Zealand economy.
