Create a new Google Drawing.
Import and picture of your face, either from your files or with the camera.
Begin outlining and detailing over the top of your face using the polyline and curve line tools (essentially tracing)
Once you have finished basic detailing, add colour.
Finally add some finer detialing using the scribble line tool.
If you have time work on your neck and shoulders.
Even thinking about the background.

Using the poly-line and curve line tools, as well as some auto-shapes create your monster.
Don't worry about background images, just focus on the details of your monster.
